Hello all you beauty lovers out there!
We have recently realised that nails salons are not getting enough reviews so we took it upon ourselves to find a few nail salons and review them… A lucky place called Spa 88 in Parkhurst was one of the top on our list to check out.
We at Glitter Pixies are strong believers in looking after our feet because we are on them all day, so we decided to go in for a pedicure. Please keep in mind that Spa 88 do other beauty treatments such as facials, waxing, massages and more.
On arrival, I was a bit annoyed with the parking situation because we had to park around the corner in the street which I am not such a fan of but trust me, it was worth it!
Walking into a clean salon, with smiling therapists is a breath of fresh air. It is hard to find a place where people love their jobs. The atmosphere was inviting, nice music playing in the background and everything was clean, (I am a huge germ freak and I will not stay in a place that is dirty.)
Most importantly, the pedicure was relaxing, the product houses that they used was professional grade and they had a huge variety of colours from Vinylux to choose from. The pedi stations were comfortable and we would book with this salon again.
I did not find a lot wrong with the salon. I would have liked my therapist to engage with me a bit more to make the treatment more personal and we waited a bit to pay for our treatments.
They run amazing specials on a Wednesday for manicures and pedicures, 40% off! You won’t find a bargain like this very often.
Overall, the Glitter Pixie team had a lovely time in Spa 88 and we will be back for another treatment real soon! We give this salon a 4/5
